NATHAN CHANDLER GIBSON

TECHNICAL GAME DESIGNER
About
Game Dev and obscure game hunter, brain likely replaced with a soundboard playing the Neo Geo insert-coin jingle.
Somewhere in the late 90s/early 2000s - between confronting kaiju-sized mechas in Metal Slug 2 and overcoming spiralling monster-filled labyrinths in Phantasy Star Online with my siblings - I became enamoured in exploring the craft of thrilling and meaningful challenges to overcome alongside rivals and allies.
This stuck with me throughout my time studying film and working in game dev: striving to foster a creative and fulfilling work environment where we can bring our best selves forward to grow and explore.
Outside of game engines, if not creating pixel art what-ifs, I'm usually testing my reflexes in a Boss Rush or vibrant Rhythm Games.
Let's make awesome things together! ✨

External Talks & Support
I have experience showcasing titles externally (Talks, Twitch, Podcasts) and supporting University events to help upskill undergrads and share their creative talents.

Additionally, I've previously hosted online talks and workshops for game design essentials (e.g., Rational Game Design and 3Cs), to share learnings and techniques between juniors and senior staff.
